We still have citrus growing in Pasco County, although much of it as moved south as well as to South America. Part of the problem was that our Florida citrus farmer's were not given the same legal protection as other farming industries, which resulted in thousands of citrus acres being abandoned. Florida oranges as well as other citrus fruit such as lemons and grapefruit. Pasco county has one the world's largest kumquat business.
